Acid-resistant bricks and tiles

Acid-resistant bricks and tiles

Properties:
Didier SF is an acid-resistant brick material specially developed for the production of heavy-duty, wear-resistant linings and claddings in tanks, flooring and other building surfaces. The fireclay raw materials used are carefully mixed, shaped, dried and fired, resulting in a densely sintered, high-quality, acid-resistant material. Didier SF is ideal for ceramic coverings that can withstand high chemical and thermal loads. It is laid and grouted in synthetic resin mastic, such as epoxy resin (EP), vinyl ester (VE) or furan resin (FU).

Application:
Didier SF offers an optimum property profile that is tailored to the physical requirements of acid-resistant ceramic brick linings and tile coverings. This applies in particular to porosity, water absorption, cold compressive strength and thermal shock resistance. The material shows excellent chemical resistance to acids, carbon compounds and salt solutions. However, it is not resistant to hydrofluoric acid and only has limited resistance to alkaline media.

Areas of application include floor areas, ducts, pits, walls and hexagonal coverings that meet the highest demands for chemical and thermal resistance.
