Phosphoric acid and fertilizers

Phosphoric acid and fertilizers

The phosphoric acid industry plays a central role in the production of fertilizers, especially phosphate fertilizers. Phosphorus is an essential nutrient for plant growth and is used in the form of phosphates in many types of fertilizer. Phosphoric acid is produced by reacting phosphate rock with sulphuric acid. This phosphoric acid serves as the starting material for the production of fertilizers such as superphosphate and ammonium phosphate, which enrich the soil with available phosphorus and increase crop yields.

In the manufacturing process, concrete and steel components are exposed to high corrosive loads, and our individually selected corrosion protection systems offer reliable and long-lasting protection.
